Thanksgiving Weekend in the Berkshires

November 25th, 2009

When the food and festivities of Thanksgiving Day are  over, there are still things to do  for the rest of the weekend in the Berkshires.  Lenox is hosting the Antiques and Collectibles Show all weekend, and Brook Farm Inn is offering free tickets to guests.  The Berkshire Bach Society has their 5th annual Messiah Sing on Saturday, November 28th.  Then there’s the hilarious Pantaloons performance, an annual Thanksgiving treat.  This year they’re performing  “Puss In Boots.”  Combine your stay at our Berkshires bed and breakfast with a performance, or some real shopping bargains at the Prime Outlets in Lee.

National Geographic Traveler Ranks the Berkshires #7

November 19th, 2009

Brook Farm Inn, a Berkshires bed and breakfast, is really proud that the Berkshires have been ranked #7 by National Geographic Traveler magazine, out of 133 top vacation destinations in the world!  The ranking was based on  a number of criteria including historic preservation, sustainable tourism, food, and cultural integrity.  The bottom line is that the area, according to one expert, “seems to have the right balance of picturesque towns, arts offerings, and well-protected natural beauty.” At Brook Farm Inn in Lenox, Massachusetts, we couldn’t agree more.  We’re glad to help our friends and our guests become familiar with all the surroundings.
